The third step in the Production process is Endorse. In this step, DWR examines the Production to make sure all documents have a Bates number. If errors occur during imagin/conversion, you may see documents with a page count of 0. In these cases, DWR is unable to assign a Bates range. You will need to resolve the errors or remove the problem documents from the Production so that documents with higher sequence numbers can be assigned Bates numbers.

To Endorse a Draft Production use one of these methods:

From the Drafts menu, click Endorse:

You can also Endorse a Draft Production by right-clicking he Production  and selecting Endorse production...

In this step, the numbering, confidential designations (PODs) and redactions are burned onto the images. For documents being produced Natively this phase involves copying the Native document into DWR's internal production location.

Once the endorsements are complete, the production can be finalized and moved to the Produced side of the tool where it can be exported. (Finalizing a Production, Exporting a Production)
